Business Code of Conduct for The Northern Footy Show

1. Introduction

The Northern Footy Show ("we," "us," or "our") is committed to conducting all business activities ethically and in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, including those of Australia. This Code of Conduct outlines the principles and standards of behavior expected of all our representatives, including employees, contractors, and anyone acting on our behalf (collectively referred to as "representatives"). This code aims to foster a culture of integrity, respect, and accountability.

2. Core Principles

Our representatives are expected to adhere to the following core principles:

  • Integrity: Act honestly, ethically, and with transparency in all dealings.

  • Respect: Treat all individuals with respect, fairness, and courtesy, valuing diversity and inclusion.

3. Specific Standards of Conduct

3.1 Compliance with Laws and Regulations

All representatives must comply with all applicable Australian laws and regulations, including but not limited to those relating to: Competition and consumer law (including the Competition and Consumer Act 2010) Privacy (including the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth)*) Work health and safety Employment standards (including the Fair Work Act 2009) Anti-discrimination and equal opportunity Representatives are expected to be aware of the laws relevant to their roles and responsibilities.

3.2 Honesty and Integrity

All business activities must be conducted honestly and ethically. Representatives must not engage in any form of fraud, bribery, corruption, or misrepresentation. * Accurate and truthful records must be maintained.

3.3 Respect and Fairness

Treat all individuals with respect, courtesy, and fairness, regardless of their background, beliefs, or characteristics. Foster a workplace and business environment that is free from discrimination, harassment, bullying, and vilification. * Value diversity and promote inclusion.

3.4 Conflicts of Interest

Avoid situations where personal interests may conflict with the interests of The Northern Footy Show. Disclose any actual or potential conflicts of interest to appropriate management. * Do not use your position or company resources for personal gain.

3.5 Confidentiality and Privacy

Protect the confidentiality of sensitive information, including business information, customer information, and personal information. Comply with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and our Privacy Policy in relation to the collection, use, and disclosure of personal information. * Do not disclose confidential information to unauthorized parties.

3.6 Workplace Health and Safety

Maintain a safe and healthy workplace. Comply with all applicable work health and safety laws and regulations. Identify and report any workplace hazards or risks. Take reasonable care for your own health and safety and the health and safety of others.

3.7 Use of Company Resources

Use company resources, including equipment, technology, and intellectual property, responsibly and for legitimate business purposes. Do not misuse company resources or engage in unauthorized activities.

3.8 Social Media

Use social media responsibly and in a manner that reflects positively on The Northern Footy Show. Do not post any content that is defamatory, offensive, discriminatory, or violates the privacy of others. * Ensure that personal opinions are clearly distinguished from official statements on behalf of The Northern Footy Show.

3.9 Fair Competition

Comply with all competition laws and regulations. Engage in fair competition and do not engage in anti-competitive practices such as price-fixing, bid-rigging, or market sharing.

3.10 Gifts and Entertainment

Only offer or accept gifts and entertainment that are reasonable, lawful, and do not create a conflict of interest or the appearance of impropriety. Ensure that gifts and entertainment are not used to influence decision-making or gain an unfair advantage.

4. Reporting and Compliance

Representatives are encouraged to report any suspected violations of this Code of Conduct or any illegal or unethical behavior.
